The campaign is designed to Turn Up the Volume! on a disease that:
- affects 1 in 70 Canadian women
- is diagnosed in 2,300 - 2,600 Canadian women each year
- and claims 1,500 lives a year across the country.
Turn Up the Volume! aims to familiarize Canadians with the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and help women and their doctors work together so that ovarian cancer can be detected earlier and treated more successfully.
Turn Up the Volume! was developed for NOCA and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in the U.S. by F.E.M. (Female Engineered Marketing), a division of Quiller and Blake Advertising, which donated its services for this important cause. The campaign uses a positive, empowering, high-energy approach and is available in print, radio and television formats.
