National Walks
In 2011 Ovarian Cancer Canada was proud to host National Walks in 15 locations across the country on September 11, 2011. Ovarian Cancer Canada staff work closely with a dedicated committee of volunteers to organize all of the National Walk events. National Walks include entertainment, refreshments and a great high-energy atmosphere.
Mini Walks
If you are unable to attend or don’t live near one of the 15 National Walk locations, there may be a smaller-scale Mini Walk taking place closer to your home. Mini Walks are set-up by community members who take the initiative to host a Walk in their community. The drop down menu above lists all National Walk and Mini Walk locations so you can select the event that is best for you. If you don’t live near a Walk location you can also start your own Mini Walk. Learn more about starting your own Mini Walk.
Differences between National Walks and Mini Walks:
- National Walks are hosted by Ovarian Cancer Canada whereas Mini Walks are initiated and hosted by community members
- National Walks require a $25 registration fee and participants receive a t-shirt, refreshments and live entertainment during the event
- Prizes and incentives are different for National Walks and Mini Walks
