Your cancer affects all those in your close circle. Sharing news about your diagnosis with your friends and family may seem difficult at first. You will have to decide how much to tell them and when. Perhaps you don’t want to burden them and make them worry. You may be afraid that they will avoid you because of your illness. Keeping the lines of communication open at this time is more important than ever. As you cope with ovarian cancer, you may need their support and to rely on them more.

A Guide for Canadian Women Living with Ovarian Cancer
You Are Not Alone is a handbook specifically created for women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Ovarian Cancer Canada and a task group of ovarian cancer survivors collaborated on all aspects of the book, and the accompanying videotape "We Just Heard," to ensure it is a comprehensive and valuable source of information and support for women dealing with ovarian cancer as well as for those close to them.
The kit was designed with the needs of Canadian women in mind—whether they live in urban, rural or remote areas.
