This award acknowledges a Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO) member who has made significant and outstanding nursing contributions in gynecology-oncology with a preferred focus on ovarian cancer.

Recipient of this award is a registered nurse in Canada and a current CANO member for at least two consecutive years.

Application letter must specify how the candidate demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of gynecologyoncology nursing care through:

• nursing leadership in gynecology-oncology clinical practice, education and/or research
• developing a program or initiative beyond the norm of nursing services or support offered to gynecology-oncology patients
• using creative or innovative nursing approaches related to gynecologyoncology with demonstrated benefits to patients, institution and/or nursing colleagues
• advancing nursing knowledge related to gynecology-oncology care.

Send nomination letter by June 1, 2010. Additional letters of support are encouraged.
